Stephen qualified as a solicitor in 1992 with Addleshaw Goddard, specialising in environment and property law, advising landowners and developers, banks and building societies on mitigating liabilities associated with contaminated land.
He joined Thomas Miller in 1995 to assist with the development of what became the market-leading environmental insurance venture. He was responsible as Legal Director for product development, policy negotiation and compliance.
In 2005 Stephen helped BLP to develop the contaminated land extension to the BLPSECURE policy, and in 2008 he helped BLP to understand and analyse the views of the construction law community regarding latent defect insurance.

- StephenÃ¢ÂÂs broad based technical and commercial skills are drawn upon by BLPÃ¢ÂÂs management team on a regular basis to assist with a diverse range of strategic and operational tasks, including product development and risk management.
