Carbon Penalties & Incentives: Report Launch

  • Location: Department for Business, Innovation and Skills Conference Centre, London
  • Date: 17/06/2014
  • Time: 08:00 - 10:00

BLP's Peter Mayer (Research & Development Manager) will be attending this review of policy effectiveness for carbon reduction & energy efficiency in the commercial buildings sector; The Property Industry Alliance and the Green Construction Board have commissioned from Deloitte an assessment of the Government policies designed to elicit a reduction in the emissions associated with energy use in commercial buildings.

Building on research and an industry survey, the resulting report makes a number of observations as to where the policy framework is succeeding and where there is scope to deliver emissions savings more effectively and to deliver green growth. The research has also been supported by the Better Buildings Partnership, the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, and the UK Green Building Council. This event will see the launch of the report, and a reflection on its observations by a panel of experts:

  • Sir Robert Finch - Chairman of the Property Industry Alliance
  • Bill Hughes - Managing Director of Legal & General Property; Chairman of the Green Property Alliance
  • Miles Keeping - Partner, Deloitte
  • Jon Lovell - Global Practice Leader, Real Estate Sustainability, Deloitte
