BLP to give free access to its Life Cycle Costing tool

BLP Insurance, the technical, buildings and insurance specialist, has just announced that it will be offering free access - from 16th June - to its online Life Cycle Costing Tool for all housing and construction professional advisors as well as housing association officers. The Life Cycle Costing Tool is currently available to all HCA Investment Partners at BLP’s website.
Originally developed with the Housing Corporation and launched in November 2008, it was previously only available to housing associations and their officers. The BLP Life Cycle Costing Tool simplifies and streamlines applications for Homes and Communities Agency funding. It is a fast, accurate and automated software programme that replaces complex time consuming manual and spreadsheet-based processes.
“Now we’re providing the solution, free of charge, to support professionals advising and working with housing association officers so these two key groups can partner more effectively together. This will unblock bottlenecks, speed up processes and help unlock funding. The Life Cycle Costing Tool is also an important contribution to promoting sustainability. It improves decision making because it provides a straightforward way of costing sustainable choices when it comes to developments,” says Simon Main, Managing Director, BLP.
