Hello? Anybody there?
- Date: 16/06/2011
The phones rang, the emails were backing up, the paperwork was piling high and the December air was being ripped apart by wails of disappointment or whoops of joy. Why? BLP had launched its first online game to unsuspecting building, construction and project managers and insurance traders whose Friday lunch seemed to be inexplicably extended into Wednesday tea time!
It might all be repeated today because BLP launches its second game where the enemy is breaching the castle walls and our plucky little revolutionary hero is relying on the player to left-click to defend his position and save him from the marauding hoard.
Last week the highest scorer of the first game, John Edmonds, and his colleague Lui Rocca of Welsh Oak Frame joined BLP and guests on the sailing barge, The Lady Daphne, to shoot some real guns off the back of the boat in a clay pigeon shoot over the Thames Estuary. They were also treated to some expert advice by John Hargreaves, a veteran of many movies, who also brought along some more unusual guns, including a musket and a blunderbuss.
Business Development Manager, Brian Kilroy, explains: “We had a brilliant day and the day’s hot shot was Lee Clemson of Mantle Developments (pictured above) who won the shoot-off and stole the Magnum of Champagne from three worthy runners up. The second game is a bit harder than the first one, so hopefully people will enjoy it and we are looking forward to another shooting event with the winners of this game.”
The phone is ringing, WHERE IS EVERYBODY?!
